◎简　　介
　　　　农场主贾森想要霸占埃尔多拉多的水源，于是派出了枪手科尔（约翰·韦恩 John Wayne 饰）前去赶走住在那里的麦克唐纳（R·G·阿姆斯特朗 R.G. Armstrong 饰）一家人。在前往埃尔多拉多的途中，科尔和自己的老友哈拉警长（罗伯特·米彻姆 Robert Mitchum 饰）重逢了，哈拉警长捅破了贾森的阴谋诡计，最终，科尔决定放弃执行这次非正义的任务。                                    
    一场意外中，科尔导致了麦克唐纳的儿子的死亡，宽容的麦克唐纳原谅了科尔的过失，但麦克唐纳的女儿却对其紧追不舍，发誓要为自己的手足报仇，最终，科尔决定离开埃尔多拉多。之后，科尔意外得知，贾森又派出了一名杀手前往麦克唐纳处，于是，他折返回了出发点，向麦克唐纳通风报信。
