    得知自己可能被追杀后，为了保护女儿的未来，尼克购买了保险，将受益人指定为凯特。他们被亚力山卓的父亲维克多追杀，尼克带着女儿艰难逃亡，途中两人之间建立了深厚的感情。与此同时，基德侦探带领手下调查此案，真相逐渐浮出水面：枪杀亚力山卓的真凶是基德等人，他们正是即将被起诉的腐败警察。尼克和女儿联手将真凶基德带到维克多面前。最终，基德丧生，维克多等人也因他们的罪行而被起诉。尼克和女儿最终摆脱了冤屈，走在阳光下，享受着新生活。
