　　　　故事发生在1939年，弗朗塔（奥德捷·维奇 Ondrej Vetchý 饰）是一名捷克飞行员，动乱与战争之中，他和名为卡瑞尔（克里斯托弗·哈德克 Krystof Hádek 饰）的年轻人之间结下了深厚的友谊。一次意外中，卡瑞尔所驾驶的飞机失事了，卡瑞尔并无大碍，幸运的他甚至因祸得福，结识了漂亮温柔的苏珊（塔拉·菲茨杰拉德 Tara Fitzgerald 饰）。                                    
    孤男寡女相识于战火纷飞之中，苏珊和卡瑞尔之间的关系很快便逾越了单纯的友情。回到部队后的卡瑞尔将自己的传奇经历告诉了弗朗塔，并将弗朗塔介绍给了苏珊。令卡瑞尔没有想到的是，苏珊深深的爱上了稳重帅气的弗朗塔，卡瑞尔和弗朗塔之间的友谊因此而产生了裂痕。
