◎简　　介
　　　　Vader 达斯（大卫•普劳斯 饰）秘密捕获了奥德兰公主 Leia（凯莉•费舍尔 饰）的星际飞船。危急时刻，Leia 命机器人 R2-D2（肯尼•贝克 饰）携带重要信息向隐居的绝地武士 Obi-Wan Kenobi（亚历克•吉尼斯 饰）求援。R2 成功逃离飞船，却在寻找 Obi-Wan 的途中被贾瓦人捕获，卖给了农夫 Owen（菲尔•布朗 饰），R2 只得再次逃跑。第二天，Owen 的侄儿 Luke（马克•哈米尔 饰）找到 R2 后，遭到了3名沙人的袭击，幸而 Obi-Wan 及时出现吓跑了沙人。Luke 回到家，发现 Owen 叔叔和 Beru 婶婶（谢拉格•弗雷泽 饰）已被追捕 R2 的帝国冲锋队杀害，于是决定跟随 Obi-Wan 学习原力之道，成为绝地。Obi-Wan 以高价雇了走私者 Han Solo（哈里森•福特 饰）的千年隼号，向奥德兰进发……
