◎简　　介
　　　　著名歌舞伎演员中村雪之丞（长谷川一夫 饰），其童年时父母遭奸人陷害，相继身亡。年幼的雪之丞无依无靠，幸遇仗义善良的歌舞伎一人中村菊之丞（市川中車 饰）。菊之丞将其收为徒弟，倾囊传授舞技和剑术，发誓协助雪之丞报仇雪恨。                                    
    转眼数年过去，雪之丞已经成长为独当一面的优秀歌舞伎艺人。他与师傅一路来至江户，终于发现仇人——原长崎奉行——土部三斎（中村鴈治郎 饰），复仇之火自此熊熊燃起……                                    
    本片根据三上於菟吉同名原著改编，并荣获1964年每日电影最佳艺术指导殊荣。
