　　　　故事发生在五十年代中期，身为夜总会里的当红头牌，温柔美艳的罗拉（芭芭拉·苏科瓦 Barbara Sukowa 饰）每日都过着灯红酒绿纸醉金迷的糜烂生活。舒克尔（马里奥·阿多夫 Mario Adorf 饰）是一个腰缠万贯的地产大亨，他还有着另一个身份——罗拉的情夫，罗拉甚至为他诞下了一个小女儿。                                    
    博姆（阿明·缪勒-斯塔尔 Armin Mueller-Stahl 饰）的出现给舒克尔的事业带来了很大的威胁，为了打击这一对手，舒克尔决定利用罗拉。没想到，博姆的腼腆和善良竟然让久经沙场的罗拉动了真情，而对于罗拉的真实身份，博姆一无所知，还以为她是正直本分的良家妇女，一段注定要以悲剧为终结的恋情就此展开。
